The Lady Tiger Softball team picked up a nice BVC win at home vs. Liberty – Benton on Monday evening, winning 9 – 8 in 8 innings.
Both team scored 4 runs each in the 3rd inning, with NB picking up 4 more in the 5th inning to take an 8 – 6 lead. But the Eagles picked up a couple of runs in the 6th to tie the game at 8 each. NB picked up the winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning.
Makayla Light had a double and 3 RBI, Kaitlyn Weinandy had a double and a triple, Olivia Frost had 2 singles.
Cheyenne Hernandez (5 – 5) was the winning pitcher.
For L – B M. Pape was the losing pitcher and a leading hitter with 2 singles, a double and 2 RBI. L Johnson had 2 singles and 3 RBI and L. Ostrander had 2 singles.
