Your Lady Tigers have had an amazing couple of days. After being rained out on Tuesday the Tigers made the short trip to Marathon Diamonds on Wednesday evening to face BVC foe McComb Panthers in the OHSAA District semi-final game.
Senior pitcher Katelyn Weinandy was able to hold the Panthers in check until the fifth inning when they were able to plate their one and only run of the night. Then in the top of the sixth inning Weinandy ripped a two out double and Simone Thompson quickly followed it up with a line shot over the center field fence to give the Tigers a hard fought 2-1 victory and a chance on Thursday to face the Carey Blue Devils in the District championship game.

WP: Weinandy 15-4
Tiger Hitters: Weinandy 2-1B, 2B; Simone Thompson HR, 2RBI; Chloe Hopple 1B
Record: 15-5
Thursday the Tigers met up with an old MAL rival, the Carey Blue Devils in the District Championship game.
Unlike the night before, the Tigers wasted no time getting on the board as leadoff hitter Makenna Ray took the second pitch of the game for a long ride over the right field fence. The Tigers plated three more runs in the inning and never relinquished their lead. The Tigers were able to add three more in the third and two in the sixth to secure a remarkable 9-2 victory over the powerful Carey team.
The Lady Tigers are District Champions and will face the winner of Friday night’s game between Old Fort and Gibsonburg on Wednesday 5/23 @ Marathon Fields in Findlay at 2:00 PM!!!
