North Baltimore High School Lady Tiger Softball falls short in double header at Fremont St. Joe on Saturday.
In game 1 St. Joe jumped on NB early, scoring 8 runs in the first three innings, running away to an 8 – 1 win. Chey Hernandez (3 – 3) to the loss, giving up 6 hits and NB committing 3 errors.
NB had nine hits including Kaitlyn Weinandy with 2 singles, Bailey Boyer with a single and a double, Hernandez with a single and an RBI, Kelcie Bean with 2 singles and a double.
In the 2nd game both teams scored a run in the first inning, then the game was scoreless until the Crimson Streaks broke it open in the 5th inning with nine runs, to pick up the 10 – 1 win.
NB banged out 10 hits, but could not push the runs across the plate. Makayla Rein had 2 singles and an RBI. Morgan Baltz had 2 singles.
Kelcie Bean (0 – 3) pitched for NB.
The ladies are now 3 – 5 overall and 2 – 1 in the BVC.
