Lady Tigers Softball Split a Pair
The Lady Tigers played host to a potent Carey team on Thursday afternoon.
The Tigers started hot, knocking in eight runs in the first inning and carried a 12 – 10 lead into the sixth inning. Unfortunately the Blue Devil’s bats were heating up as the Tigers were cooling down. Carey exploded for eight runs in the top of the sixth inning and three more in the seventh to finish the Tigers off with a 21 – 12 loss.
The two teams combined for 46 hits on the night, leading the way for the Tigers were Simone Thompson 5-5 with a home run, Katelyn Weinandy 3-4, Chloe Hopple 3-4 and Jordan Baker 3-4 and 2 RBI’s.
Chloe Hopple (0-1) battled hard in the circle but took the loss for the Tigers.

Friday night brought BVC rival and league leading Hopewell-Loudon to town for a good old fashioned slug fest.
The Chieftains waisted no time as they jumped on the Tigers with two quick runs in their first at bat. North Baltimore was able to answer with one of their own in the bottom of the inning but the night was just heating up. Both teams took their turns showcasing their offensive skills. Entering the fifth inning knotted up at 9 runs each Mia McCartney was able to give the Tigers the lead again with a 2 run shot over the fence followed by key hits by Katelyn Weinandy, Simone Thompson and Paige Hyatt the Tigers were able to secure a hard fought 13-9 victory leaving them tied with Hopewell-Loudon at the top of the BVC.
