WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) participated in the 2018 March for Life Rally on the National Mall Friday. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan spoke at the event, which drew tens of thousands of participants. After the rally, Latta hosted constituents at an event on Capitol Hill – an annual tradition.
In addition, Latta voted in favor of H.R. 4712, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, legislation that was approved by the U.S. House of Representatives today. The bill requires that a baby that survives a failed abortion attempt receive the same treatment as any other infant.
“Every year, the March for Life brings people from every corner of the country to stand up for the most innocent in our society,” said Latta. “It’s clear that tens of millions of Americans believe in the value of life, and they deserve to be represented in Washington. I’ll continue to be a strong supporter of pro-life policies, including legislation like the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This year’s rally is once again about giving a voice to the voiceless.”
