Laura L. Gazarek, 60 of North Baltimore passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at her residence.
She was born in Findlay on August 12, 1954, to the late Lee and Carol (Chapman) Kirby. On November 24, 1972, she married John Gazarek and he survives. She is also survived by two sons: Marty (Holly) Gazarek of North Baltimore and Matt (Meghan) Gazarek of Perrysburg; a brother, Barry (Jami) Kirby of Carroll, OH; four sisters: Lorraine (Randy) Cunningham of Van Buren, Gail (Terry) Boren of Findlay, Lynn Nelson of Findlay and Sherry (Larry) Householder of Bloomdale and her four beloved grandsons: Levi, Gabe, Lane and Owen.
Laura worked for the student affairs department at Bowling Green State University. She attended the Holy Family Catholic Church in North Baltimore. Laura enjoyed spending time outside, taking bike rides, mowing the grass and working in her flower gardens. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her grandsons and watching her sons and her grandson, Levi’s sporting events.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore. Father Arthur J. Niewiadowmski will officiate and burial will follow in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
