Lela Nioma Boyer, 90, of North Baltimore, passed away at 11:23 a.m. on
Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Briar Hill Health Campus in North Baltimore.
She was born on June 7, 1928 in Cecil, Ohio to the late Andrew and Mary
Nioma (Good) Nichols. She married Melvin P. Boyer and he preceded her in
death on May 8, 1997.
Lela is survived by her son, Randy (Lynnette) Boyer; grandchildren: Mike
(Amy) Boyer, Michelle (Sam) Freeborn, Taylor Boyer and Brock Boyer;
great-grandchildren: Garrett and Bailey Boyer and Owen Freeborn.
She was preceded in death by her sons: Larry Boyer and Lynn Boyer;
brothers Silas, Justice and Hank Nichols; sisters: Verta Cotterman and
Charlotte Sheeks.
A funerals service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at
SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. Burial will be in New
Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at
SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
