On Wednesday, November 11th, North Baltimore High School held an assembly to honor our local veterans. This ceremony was held to not only thank our veterans, but also to educate our students. Many students don’t fully understand what serving in the military means. In order to further educate the students about serving in the military, questions were asked and the veterans were able to answer them if they chose to.
In the beginning of the ceremony, students introduced the various military operations in recent history, and then invited the veterans who served in each to stand to be thanked.
At the close of the ceremony, all attending veterans and active servicemen and servicewomen lined up in the gym, and each attendee shook their hands and thanked them as they left.
From the students and staff of North Baltimore, we would like to say thank you to all past or active military members. We would also like to thank the Legion and the community members for their involvement – it was greatly enjoyed and appreciated.
