St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, North Baltimore
Sunday, September 13 is “Rally Day” at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in North Baltimore. Sunday School classes for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at the 10:15 a.m. worship service will be “Not a Teaching of Glitz and Glory” (based on Luke 9:22-26). Sunday school students will read the Scripture lessons for the day and the Senior Choir will sing an anthem.
The annual “Rally Day Barbeque/Cookout Fellowship Meal” for all worshipers will follow worship.
After cleanup, members will participate in the national Lutheran “God’s Work. Our Hands.” project by weeding out the planters at Powell School. Workers should bring gardening gloves, shovels, and trowels. Trash bags will be provided.
On Monday, September 14, the “Good News+Amen!” Leadership Team will have a dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Chinese Restaurant in town. St. Luke’s Church Council will meet at 7:00 p.m.
St. John’s Lutheran Church, McComb
Sunday, September 13 is “Rally Day” at St. John’s Lutheran Church in McComb. Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m. (a joint Sunday School with the McComb United Methodist Church). Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at the 8:00 a.m. worship service will be “Not a Teaching of Glitz and Glory” (based on Mark 8:27-38).
