Lutheran Church News — St. Luke’s (NB) & St. John’s (McComb)

The theme of Sunday worship on May 15 will be the first Pentecost (the 50th day after Easter) when the Holy Spirit came as a mighty wind and tongues of fire.

Worshipers are invited to “wear something red,” the traditional color of Pentecost Sunday.

The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated as traditional “Table Communion.”

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, North Baltimore

“It Gets Better!” is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in North Baltimore on Pentecost Sunday, May 15 at 10:15 a.m. The Senior Choir will sing an anthem titled “Order My Steps (In Your Word).”

Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m.

The St. Luke’s Church Women (SLCW) will hold a Bake Sale following worship.

Church and community members are invited to a “Healing Service” at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15. The service, which includes anointing with oil, is for those with specific requests for healing, as well as an opportunity to pray for others in need of healing.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, McComb

“It Gets Better!” is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. John’s Lutheran Church in McComb on Sunday, May 15 at 8:00 a.m.

Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m. (joint adult Sunday School is with the McComb United Methodist Church).
