St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, North Baltimore

”The Tapestry of 2015” is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in North Baltimore on Sunday, January 4 at 10:15 a.m. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m. The theme of worship will be an observance of “Epiphany,” the day the Christian Church celebrates the visit of the Magi from the East (traditionally celebrated January 6). The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated as traditional “Table Communion.” Following worship members will remove Christmas decorations. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m.

Church Council members for 2015 will be installed during worship on January 4: JoLynn Stewart (President), Bill Straley (Vice-President and Good News+Amen!), Tracey Pritts (Secretary), Clay McCartney (Treasurer), Janet Goldner (Financial Secretary), Emily Meyerson (Sunday School Superintendent), Dwight Patterson (Property Committee).

The “Good News+Amen!” Leadership Team will meet on Monday, January 5 at 6:00 to makes plans for the coming year’s activities.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, McComb

“The Tapestry of 2015” is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. John’s Lutheran Church in McComb on Sunday, January 4 at 8:00 a.m. The sermon will make reference to the planning of the 150th anniversary of the congregation which will be celebrated in 2015. The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated as traditional “Table Communion.” Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m. (a joint Sunday School with the McComb United Methodist Church).

St. John’s Church Council will meet on Thursday, January 8 at 6:30 p.m.
