St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, North Baltimore
“On Eagle’s Wings” is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in North Baltimore on Sunday, October 30 at 10:15 a.m.
Five members of the congregation: Jordan Bucher, Andrea Dauterman, Caleigh Instone, Bryant Matthes, Joslynn Sterling will enter the rite of Confirmation, called “Affirmation of Baptism” in the Lutheran tradition. On this “Reformation Sunday” (a significant day in Lutheran history marking the posting of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses in 1517) these five members will become “adult members” of the congregation. Each Confirmand will share their Life-Verse, their personal profession of faith with the congregation, and will serve as worship assistants.
A reception for the Confirmands will follow worship. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m.
St. John’s Lutheran Church, McComb
“Our Great Heritage” is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. John’s Lutheran Church in McComb on Sunday, October 30 at 8:00 a.m. The service will be a “Reformation Sunday” service, a significant day in Lutheran history marking the posting of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses in 1517 (499 years ago).
Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m. A joint adult Sunday School is with the McComb United Methodist Church.
