St. Luke’s Lutheran Church
“Preparing the Way” based on Isaiah 40:1–11 is Pastor Ralph Mineo’s sermon topic at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in North Baltimore on Sunday, December 7 at 10:15 a.m. The second candle of the Advent Wreath will be lit and the second felt flame will be added to the Advent Banner at the opening of worship to celebrate the Second Sunday in Advent. The Senior Choir will sing an anthem “Emmanuel, God With Us” The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated as traditional “Table Communion.”
Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:00 a.m.
On Saturday, December 6, the cast and crew of this year’s Youth Christmas musical, “Signs of Christmas” will hold the first rehearsal from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Some members of St. Luke’s will be singing in the community cantata “I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End” at the Elmwood Community Center Auditorium on Sunday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m.
St. John’s Lutheran Church

The second candle of the Advent Wreath will be lit at the opening of worship to celebrate the Second Sunday in Advent. Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m. (a joint Sunday School with the McComb United Methodist Church).
