Lynn M. Boyer, 66, of North Baltimore, died at 9:48 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the Toledo Hospital.
He was born on September 2, 1948 in Findlay to Melvin and Lela (Nickols) Boyer. He married Dawn Whitehead of July 13, 1968, and she survives. Lynn is also survived by his mother, Lela Boyer of North Baltimore; his son, Michael (Amy) Boyer of North Baltimore; his daughter, Michelle (Samuel) Freeborn of Helena; his brother, Randy (Lynnette) Boyer of North Baltimore; his beloved grandchildren: Garrett, Bailey and Owen.He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Boyer and his twin brother, Larry Boyer.
Lynn retired from Midwest Stamping, where he was a Tool and Die Maker. He was a member of the North Baltimore Church of Christ, American Legion Post 539, Son’s of American Legion, and F.O.E. #2633. He was a member of the North Baltimore Volunteer Fire Department and was a State Fire Inspector.
He has a passion for collecting trains, and also enjoyed collecting coins and toys. It was his grandchildren that brought him his greatest joy in life.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Pastor Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where an F.O.E. service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the North Baltimore Volunteer Fire Department.
