North Baltimore Village Council reluctantly accepted the resignation of Chester H. Marcin, who served as Appointed Legal Counsel for the village for 42 years. Joel Kuhlman, with Hammer & Kuhlman Law Office, in NB, will take over.
Marcin, who replaced Allan Bechtel as local barrister, recounted the 8 mayors that he has served with since his appointment by Mayor John W. Sterling, in 1974. One of those mayors, whom he served with for eight years, was Ned Sponslor, who shared brief comments of appreciation during the Public Participation portion of the meeting. Marcin closed his private practice in 2015, serving decades with Marcin & Dunipace, in Bowling Green.
Marcin said that he is looking forward to joining in on some cooking classes on Tuesday evenings and doing some more traveling in his retirement.
