Market Hog “Queenie” –  Queen of the Wood County Fair

On Tuesday, July 30, Sara Casey and her market hog, fondly named Queenie, took home the title of all titles – Grand Champion Market Hog.
Sara spent all summer working with three market pigs and a market goat. Her hard work and dedication has paid off with the highest honor possible. Between her three market hogs, Sara brought home the following titles:

Champion Berkshire

Champion Middle Weight Market Barrow

Reserve Champion Market Barrow

Third Overall Market Hog

Champion Heavy Weight Gilt

Champion Gilt

Grand Champion Market Hog

All three of Sara’s hogs were bred locally in Arlington, at S&K Showpigs (owner, Scott Stauffer). Those sponsoring Sara’s Grand Champion at the
4-H sale on Monday, August 5 were as follows:

Sara is a member of Country Paws 4-H Club and will be an 8th grader at North Baltimore Middle School. She and Queenie enjoyed an unforgettable week together in the Champion Barn at the fairgrounds!
