May Waynar , 99

May Waynar , 99, died on Saturday July 29, at 10:25pm at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Ohio.  She was born May Louise Smithers to Harry and Ruby (Chandler) Smithers on June 2, 1918, near Perrysburg, Ohio.

May worked as an accountant for a business in Toledo before her marriage to Nicholas Waynar on March 20, 1937.  They farmed in northern Wood County before moving to their farm near Bloomdale, Ohio, in 1945.  May became an LPN in 1969, working at nursing homes and as a private duty nurse.

They enjoyed their Farm Bureau Council, the first one formed in Ohio, and traveling around the US and the world, including Alaska, Scandinavia, and New Zealand.  May and Nick were members of First United Methodist Church, Bowling Green, Ohio.

May is survived by daughters Marlene Green, Bradenton FL, Muriel (Chuck) Lee, Tallahassee FL, Mary Lou Clingan, rural Findlay OH, and Nikki Johnson, Tallahassee FL, and son Gaylen (Paulette) Waynar, Tucson AZ, as well as 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,brothers Harold, George, James, sister Florence Roberts, and grandson Brian Green.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, Reverend Amy Miller officiating.  Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery, Bloom Township.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.

Memorials may be sent to Bridge Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio, and First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, Ohio.
