The North Baltimore Tiger Boys basketball team took the short ride over to McComb for some BVC basketball with the Panthers.
NB got off to a slow start, falling behind 15 – 8, but made a strong comeback in the 2nd quarter to cut the lead to just one point, 26 – 25.
But in the 3rd quarter, McComb, one of the BVC leaders at (6-1, 4-0), put it to the Tigers, outscoring NB 15 – 5 to take control of the game. NB tried to make a game of it in the final stanza, but could not overcome the 11 point deficit falling 58 – 51.
For the Tigers Noah Brian and Derek McMahon each scored 14 points with Lane Bishop adding 10 points. Chad Wright hit for 7, Levi Newcomer and Sean Watson scored 3 points each.
McMahon led NB in rebounding with 9. Newcomer had 2 steals and Watson had 3 assists.
NB falls to 2-6 overall and 1 – 3 in BVC play.
For McComb Blake Glaser hit for 16 points with 9 rebounds. Clay Grubb scored 14 points, with and 4 steals. Trey Hanes added 10 points for the Panthers.
