Mel Patterson Jr. Benefit Raffle
On August 2, 2018 Mel Patterson Jr. was struck by an SUV while coming home from the Wood County Fair on his motorcycle. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was life-flighted to St. V’s Hospital in Toledo. Mel broke his hip, femur, both wrists, a vertebrae, and had lacerations of his liver and his spleen which caused severe internal bleeding. The driver of the SUV did not have insurance and therefore all medical expenses have fallen to Mel and Doreen Patterson. Though they do have insurance, we all know it doesn’t cover everything. To help cover those extra costs a raffle is being held. Mel is recovering and doing better each and every day but still has a long road ahead.
Two Michigan @ Ohio State game tickets (Section 25C Row 30) are being raffled. The game is November 24, 2018. Raffle tickets are $50 each. A maximum of 300 tickets to be sold and the drawing will be held on October 27, 2018 in the North Baltimore Fire Hall following the Halloween Parade.
If you are interested in purchasing a raffle ticket or in helping to sell some tickets, contact Charlotte Powell – [email protected], Cody Switzer, Jacki Kaufman, or Jeremy Joseph.
Donations can also be made at Huntington Bank in North Baltimore if you want to help but are not interested in purchasing a raffle ticket. An account has been set up to handle donations. Just ask one of the tellers.
Please make checks out to Doreen or Mel Patterson.
Thanks for your support of this wonderful family.
A special thanks to all those who helped save his life that night. This town has wonderful people who selflessly give of themselves to save others. I do not know the names of all who showed up, but I want to thank you and so does the family.
Shout out of thanks to:
NB Police
NB Fire Department
NB paramedics and EMT’s
You are the best and we can’t thank you enough!
