Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist
Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist will celebrate the Ascension Sunday and Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 13, with worship beginning at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Susan Kronbach will preach “To Love as Jesus Loved” from John 15:9-17. Sunday School for adults and youth (middle school and older) is held at 9:15 a.m.; Sunday School for children is held during worship, after the Children’s Moments. Please plan to join us as you are able.
We will also be celebrating Mother’s Day by receiving donations for Church World Service blankets in honor or memory of the mothers in our lives, and sharing in “Muffins for Moms” after worship.
We are continuing to collect items for the UMCOR Health/Hygiene Kits to take to conference, along with donations to the conference “Light the Way” campaign to help the church “Light the Way for the World.”
Other activities at the church this week include choir practice each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.; and the Women of Faith on Thursday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m. at the Iron Skillet Restaurant.
Bairdstown United Methodist Church
The Bairdstown United Methodist Church will celebrate Ascension Sunday and Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 13, with worship beginning at 9:15 a.m. Rev. Susan Kronbach will share from John 15:9-17 – “To Love as Jesus Loved.” Sunday School class is held immediately following worship. We will then gather for fellowship dinner at noon.
