Monetta M. Hesse, 93, NB

Monetta M. Hesse, 93, of North Baltimore, passed away at 11:40 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore.

She was born on November 21, 1924 in Rudolph, Ohio to the late Albert and Sarah (Deter) Jones. She married Richard Hesse on September 12, 1943, and he preceded her in death on December 26, 1987.

Monetta is survived by her son, Gary (Cindy) Hesse of Oak Harbor; her daughter-in-law, Barb Hesse of Oak Harbor; her grandchildren: Emily Hesse, Carrie (Jason) Riffle, and Robert J. (Joetta) Hesse; and her great-grandchildren: Isabela Riffle and Gracey Riffle.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Hesse; her brothers: Hearold, Oren, Cloyce, and Robert Jones; and her sister, Luella Sewell.

Monetta was a homemaker and formerly worked for the North Baltimore Food Center, B & N Carryout, and Arloween Sweet Shop. She was a member of the North Baltimore American Legion Auxiliary Post 539, St. James United Methodist Church, and the North Baltimore High School 50 Year Club.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018,
at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be held 3 hours (11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) prior to the service. Burial will be
in Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539 and/or North Baltimore American Legion Auxiliary Post 539.
