Mother Nature 1, Lady Tigers 1

from Coach Harden

The North Baltimore U10 Lady Tigers were set to travel to Dunkirk last Tuesday, but Mother Nature intervened, again, causing a rain-out. The make-up game is scheduled for June 27.  However….

Friday saw the Tigers hosting the team from Fostoria.  The ladies maintained there mission-like season, handing out a 12-3 drubbing.  Behind the Tigers great pitching, defense, and hitting the team from Fostoria had little chance in changing the mission of the Lady Tigers which is winning!

Kaylee Allison struck out the side in the 2nd and 3rd innings…..Lacie Allison fielding a swing bunt on the first play of the game and expertly throwing out the runner from her catcher position, as well as picking off a steal attempt at third later in the game.

Catcher Kaitlyn Trumbull also thwarted a steal attempt firing to third baseman Maddie Dick, who ran the runner back to second before firing to shortstop Jersey Abrell for the tag.

Hitting was in the books as 5 extra base hits among 14 overall, pushed the Tigers to the win, bringing their record to 7-0!

Hitting for the Tigers were:

Lindsay Crouse, 2-1B, 2R, RBI
Jayme Zeigler, RBI, R
Kaylee Allison, 3B, 3-RBIs
Kaitlyn Trumbull, 2-1B, 2Rs
Lacie Allison, 3B, 2B, 2-RBIs 2R
Kyleigh Baltz, 2B, 1B, 2-RBIs, R
Jersey Abrell, 2B, RBI, R
Cassie Gerdeman, 2-1B, RBI, R
Hannah Hagemyer, 1B, RBI, R
