NB 8th Grade Girls Headed to Championship Game on Saturday

The semi-finals of the BVC Jr High Girls Basketball Tournament were held Wed, Feb 11th.

In the 1st semi-final game of the night, North Baltimore took on Arlington. It was a slow start for both teams, with a halftime score of 6 to 5, NB leading.

After 3 quarters, North Baltimore started pulling further ahead and was leading 17 to 11. The final score was 30 to 13, NB with the victory.

In the 2nd semi-final game of the evening, Arcadia took on Liberty-Benton, both teams only having 1 loss in the BVC this season. LB could not stop Arcadia’s great shooting, and Arcadia won with a score of 54 to 23.

So, for the FINALS on Sat, Feb 14th, it will be a match-up of North Baltimore vs Arcadia. Start time will be approx 11:30, or 20 minutes after the 7th grade finals game, which begins at 10:00. The games will be played at Cory-Rawson High School, in the High School gym. There will also be a consolation game in the Junior High gym.

Both NB and Arcadia 8th grade girls had 1 loss during their regular season. NB beat Arcadia by 3 in an earlier match-up this season.
