The North Baltimore High School Pep Band was selected as one of 13 finalists state-wide for the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s “Battle for the Golden Megaphone.”
The goal of the competition, which began in 2014, is to promote sportsmanship and positive school spirit from the fans in the increasingly popular student cheering sections at basketball games across the state.
The other schools in the running were Aurora, Botkins, Buckeye Valley, Dover, Elmwood, Lexington, Mineral Ridge, North Baltimore, Oak Hill, Pleasant, Hamilton Ross and Sylvania Northview.
The OHSAA invited six individuals from each school — the principal, athletic director and four members of the student body — to attend the event.
All of the finalists were honored at halftime of the Division IV Boys State Tournament semifinal game at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at The Jerome Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University.
Congratulations NB Pep Band
