Board Report for North Baltimore MS/HS from Dr. Bob Falkenstein
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is popular! Our middle school students and staff love it! Most redeemed items are (1) leave school 10 minutes early, (2) 15 minutes to shoot baskets during lunch, (3) homework pass, (4) gift cards
We are further delving into Google. The district and building calendars are on Google. What parents see is through Google. We’re intentionally swinging in that direction with building requests, custodial coverage, office management and my principal calendar. Brent Hermiller has been instrumental in helping make this shift.
Recycling is going really well. Our next pickup from Ball is Friday, October 11, so bring us your aluminum cans! They can be set out back at the fence behind the buses.
We will once again offer 1-1 ACT tutoring sessions. Our ACT scores are improving on an individual basis due to this effort and the board’s continued support. Thank you!
Our school year has been positive, enjoyable and productive. Staff and students have gotten back to doing what we do…grow and learn!
Homecoming Weekend starts on Friday, October 11.
12th Annual Dodgeball Tournament is after the game on Friday, October 18.
Returning this year: HS Costume Party, sponsored by Yearbook! It will be at NBHS after the Halloween Parade.
