COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 11, 2015
MINUTES
I. Pledge of Allegiance
In the absence of the mayor, Council President Janet Goldner called the meeting to order at 7:55 PM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
II. Roll Call:
Mayor Julien-Absent, Janet Goldner–Here, Aaron Patterson-Here,
Leslee Thompson-Here, Bill Cameron-Here, Art Patterson-Here, Rich Rose—Here, Clerk Richard Van Mooy-Here.
Aaron Patterson made a motion to excuse Mr. Julien. Second by Art Patterson.
All approved.
Mr. Cameron made a motion to appoint Art Patterson president pro tem for this meeting. Second by Aaron Patterson. All approved.
Mr. Cameron left the meeting at 8:00 PM. Motion to excuse by Art Patterson. Second by Mr. Rose. All approved.
III. New Business/Legislation
Motion by Ms Thompson to retain Clemons Nelson and Associates to assist with the hiring of a new village administrator on an expedited basis at a cost not to exceed $4000. Second by Art Patterson. All approved.
As part of discussion, Ms Thompson made reference to some of the critical comments posted on the NBXpress. She said that the critics have no understanding of the goals and actions of our village. She said that this lack of interest is shown by the lack of attendance at council meetings and the dearth of candidates for open seats.
