Feb 2, 2016
1) Income tax collections 2016 vs. 2015 as of 1/31/2016:
*NOTE* I will now be reporting the income taxes collected for EMS (21.5% of total collections) along with the amounts collected for village operations.
2) Difference in income tax collections – Aug 2015 vs Aug 2014
a. Increase in Collections: Taxes withheld from employees.
b. Increase in Collections: Net Profit Estimates
3) The Bill List from 12/29/15 – 1/29/15 is included for council review and approval on the claims ordinance.
4) January Great Lakes collections will be distributed at next week’s COTW
5) 2015 has been closed, W2’s have been printed and distributed.
6) I am distributing the 2015 year-end financial review at Tuesday’s meeting. Please take the next week to review. I will present the information and cover any questions at next week’s COTW.
SECOND READINGS
a. Appropriation Ordinance: Adding $971.70 to the Street Dept. budget. Back in July there was an accident that took out the cemetery guardrail. The county provided a quote for repairs, and we just received the check from the driver’s insurance for the costs of the repair. This appropriation is in the same amount.
b. Appropriation Ordinance: Adding $800.00 to the Police Dept. budget. The Police dept. was awarded a training grant from the state. This appropriation is in the same amount.
c. Appropriation Ordinance: Adding $9,802.04 to the EMS Dept. budget. The EMS dept. was awarded a BWC grant for a power cot. This appropriation will cover the Village portion of the grant.
