Breanna Owens SNA Children’s Gifts
The North Baltimore Gleaner Arbor #461 sponsored $200 toward gifts for children in area hospitals. Breanna Swope is a nursing student and vice president of the Student Nurses Association-Owens Findlay Campus. She and fellow nursing students will deliver these gifts and additional ones collected to area hospitals in Wood and Hancock County.
Youth Action Day-November
Youth Action Day is intended to promote intergenerational activities. Klassy Kids 4-H group joined North Baltimore Gleaner members at Walmart in Bowling Green on November 13 to shop for items to be donated to the community. Each child and adult were given $10 to shop for items. Then, each 4-H member was paired with a Gleaner member(s) to look for ideas together. I do not know who had more fun, the adults or the children.
After shopping Gleaner members met at Rod and Becky Lucas’ house for a business meeting. A list of charitable organizations and donation amounts for the fiscal year (September 2016 – August 2017) were agreed upon.
