The Powell Parent Teacher Assn. would like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to NB Marathon, DS Brown, Eagle Landing and Don Miller Insurance for being our first Sponsors for the Powell Summer Send Off Carnival.

The Powell PTA invites you to join us as we show our students how proud we are of them.  To celebrate their accomplishments this school year, we are throwing a Summer Send Off Carnival.  We support the efforts of the school to instill Tiger Pride by being responsible, respectful, safe and kind.  We want to show the children of North Baltimore that their community values these attributes and celebrates their efforts.  

We have sent sponsorship forms to community businesses and volunteer forms are being sent to Community organizations.  If your business or group did not receive one but would like to be involved, please contact Erika Miklovic at 419-257-2124 or emiklovic@nbls.org.  We also encourage individuals who would like to be involved to volunteer.  This is going to be a large event and we will need a lot of support to make it a success.  Please join us!!

If you are a member of an organization and would like to have a booth at the Carnival, please contact Erika ASAP.  Ideas are face painting, sucker pull, ring toss, craft making, temporary tattoo booth, bean bag toss, marble race, etc.  We have ideas if you have volunteers to run the events! Below is the information sent to local businesses. We will happily include any business, organization or individuals that would like to contribute.  This is our first year creating this event and would love your help making it successful!


The Powell PTA is throwing a Summer Send Off Carnival during the last week of school. The event on May 30th will include inflatables, games, Kona ice, face painting, crafts, and more. Though we have raised most of the funds for our event, we need your support to help to make our dream a reality. The Powell PTA’s goal is to raise $3000.  This is a chance to give back to the community and celebrate the accomplishments of our students this school year. One of our missions is to involve the community in events with the school and the kids. The PTA will be inviting all local businesses and organizations to be involved.  We hope you will consider joining us in showing our Tiger Pride to the students and community!

We would be grateful if you could support our Summer Send Off. We anticipate over 410 kids attending this event during the school day, and 50 parent and community member volunteers. We also would like to take this opportunity to invite your staff to come to the event and run your sponsored activity. While this is a great opportunity to represent your organization, it is not a requirement.  The amount you give is completely on your terms. Currently, we need to raise $3000; however we want to offer you the opportunity to select an activity/event(s) to sponsor. All monetary sponsorships will receive the following: Your name, and logo on all marketing materials, Facebook, and recognition at our carnival. If you choose to sponsor an activity, a sign will be placed at the activity noting your sponsorship.
