North Baltimore Safety Village Program
The N. B. Safety Village Program Committee is proud to announce the 2015 North Baltimore Safety Village program for the North Baltimore and surrounding area children. Children ages 4-7 will be exposed to various safety topics and taught proper procedures on how to handle these events.
The topics to be discussed are as follows:
Bicycle Safety
School Bus Safety & Playground Safety
Fire Safety/EMS/Ambulance
Police – Stranger Danger & Traffic Safety
DARE Program
Recycling
The previous programs will be instructed by area professional organizations. Classes will be instructed and supervised by 2 or 3 teachers. Our goal is to teach the rules of public safety through hands-on learning and other fun activities.
Classes will be held at the Powell Elementary from June 1-5. The children will meet in 2 to 3 groups from 9:00-12:00. They will meet with the speaker of the day, visit the “Safety Village” on the school parking lot, and practice phone number/address information on a daily basis. We are requesting that parents arrive at 11:45 to share in the wrap up of the day’s events as well as for the orientation and graduation ceremony.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer and help with snacks. Financial assistance will be available for those in financial need.

On behalf of my child, myself, and our heirs, executors, administrators, and assignees, I hereby release and discharge NB Safety Village Board and assignees form all claims, present and future, known and unknown, in any manner arising out of the use of NB Safety Village facilities and equipment furnished through and by the North Baltimore Safety Village Board, the North Baltimore Local School Board of Education, and other assignees, in the joint N. Baltimore Safety Village Program. I also give permission for my child to be photographed during his/her attendance at the NB safety Village.
