With the help of an errorless defense behind her, Tiger pitcher Katelyn Weinandy was perfect in the circle Tuesday afternoon. In her second no hitter of the year Weinandy did not allow a single opposing batter to reach first base.
On a night in which we celebrated the softball careers and accomplishments of our five outstanding seniors Makenna Ray, Katelyn Weinandy, Valerie Buchanan, Grace Rein and Paige Hyatt, the lady Tigers were able to dispatch the visiting Pandora Gilboa Rockets in five innings with a solid 34 – 0 victory.
Freshman catcher Mia McCartney led the way with four hits and four RBi’s. Katelyn Weinandy and Simone Thompson followed up with three hits each and a combined nine RBI’s.
