MINUTES
I. Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Julien called the meeting to order at 7:50 PM and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
II. Roll Call:
Mayor Julien-Here, Janet Goldner–Here, Aaron Patterson-Here,
Leslee Thompson-Here, Bill Cameron-Here, Art Patterson-Here, Rich Rose—Here, Clerk Richard Van Mooy-Here.
III. New Business/Legislation
Aaron Patterson made a motion to hire Christopher Snyder as a full time laborer for the Street Department at an hourly rate of $12.18 per hour effective 05-26-25. Second by Ms Goldner. The vote: Yes—Goldner, Aaron Patterson, Art Patterson and Rose. No—Thompson and Cameron.
Ms Dettling explained that absent a revised compensation plan, despite Mr. Snyder’s
similar experience, she was unable to credit him for that experience. She also said that since Mr. Snyder already has a CDL she gave him the $ .50 increase that such a credential provides.
Before the vote Ms Thompson asked Supt to explain why he needs this position filled. Mr. Wickard said that due to a recent resignation the department is down by one employee and the work simply isn’t getting done.
There was no action taken on agenda item II. B. (Temporary PT Payroll clerk.) Ms Dettling explained that she has an intern who is going to do the work instead of hiring an employee.
