The Purple Tigers from Holgate came to North Baltimore Memorial Football Field to open the 2015 season. Holgate wasted little time, scoring a TD before two minutes had passed.
But the NB Tigers would score three straight TD’s before halftime to go up 20 – 6 at the half. Holgate scored the next two TD’s to tie the game at 20 – 20 at the beginning of the 4th period. NB then rattled off three straight scores, again, to put the game away. NB is now 1 – 0, this was a non-conference game.
Offensively NB picked up 11 first downs; gained 231 yards on 36 carries; gained 194 passing yards on 13 completions in 24 attempts, with 2 interceptions; NB was penalized 8 times for 45 yards.
Brady Rader at QB was 7 of 15 passing for 103 yards with 1 INT and 1 TD.
Sean Watson at QB was 6 of 9 for 91 yards with 1 INT and 1 TD.
Receiving the ball were Taylor Bishop 4 catches for 64 yards; Noah Brian 4 catches for 55 yards and 2 TD; Sean Watson had 3 catches for 69 yards.
Taylor Bishop had touchdown runs of 8, 1, 4 and 58 yards, rushing for 236 total yards on 26 carries.
