Residents in most of North Baltimore noticed a relatively brief drop in water pressure around 10:00, Thursday night.
The drop in pressure was caused by a vehicle hitting a fire hydrant, at the corner of East Broadway/Eagleville Rd. and Poe Road.
NB Water Dept. quickly stopped the leak.
No boil advisory was issued.
Here is the official report from Chief Baer:
At 958 pm the Police Department received a call in regards to a vehicle crash at Poe and E. Broadway. A Nissan Titan being operated by Thaddius Apple (29) of Findlay struck a Fire Hydrant. Also in the vehicle was Kip Apple (53) also of Findlay. Thaddius was cited for Failure to Maintain Reasonable Control.
The damage to the Fire Hydrant caused low water pressure to a significant portion of the village.
