The North Baltimore Cross Country runners had a tremendous day at the Myron Cline Invite as they took advantage of a cooler morning at Lakota.
The Varsity boys had two runners in the 19’s for the 1st time since 2020. Andy Burelson led the way with a career record time of 19:45 in 72nd place and Camden McCartney was 75th in a career record time of 19:50. The career records kept coming as Garrett Williams finished in 99th with a 20:51, his first time breaking the 21 minute barrier. Trevey Phanthavong took exactly 2 minutes of his career best with a time of 21:22 finishing in 105th. Levi Vanlerberg finished close behind in 109th with a career record of 21:39. Macin Pettry finished in 119th with a season best of 22:24, over a minute faster than his previous best. The Varsity boys finished 14th overall with a season best top 5 average of 20:41, which is the best top 5 average since 2018.
The Varsity Girls had a career record from Rylee Fennell in a time of 22:48 for a 26th place finish. Her time currently places her 20th on the all time list at North Baltimore. Ady Reynolds continues to be consistent, running another mid 23, this time a 23:35 to place 34th overall. Evelyn Thompson took off another 55 seconds off her career best, breaking the 24 minute barrier with a time of 23:53 to place 40th overall. That time puts her in the top 30 of all time, surpassing Marina (Kimmel) Crouse. Attlee Rowlinson had another PR, dropping another 57 seconds off her time to place 70th overall in a time of 26:03. Lindsay Crouse had another PR with a time of 27:27 as she continues to close in on her career record time. The Varsity girls finished 8th overall with a season best top 5 average of 24:45, which is the best top 5 average since 2019.
The Tigers had only one JH runner on Saturday and he did not disappoint as Odin Livingston ran a career best of 13:48, placing 32nd overall. His career record puts him 27th on the all time leader board for JH boys. The Tigers travel to Ridgedale on Tuesday to compete at the Rocket Invite, which is the location of the NWCC Championships in October.
