North Baltimore Arbor of Gleaner Life Insurance Society recently awarded Community Service Recognition honors

North Baltimore Arbor honored Roger Zorn and Robert Taylor with Gleaner Life Insurance Society’s Community Service Recognition Award on April 22, 2017.  This award is presented to individuals who work at the local or grass-roots level and live by the true spirit of volunteerism which is the cornerstone of the fraternal benefit system.

Taylor, a senior at Toledo Technology Academy, was selected because of his volunteer efforts with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts (earning his Eagle Scout), member of the NW Ohio Railroad Preservation where he maintains steam engines, drives the trains and helps with the holiday events, member of the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, volunteers at antique and train shows, member of the Alternative Energy Team at Toledo Technology Academy and volunteers to help his neighbors and family.

Robert Taylor

Zorn was selected because of his volunteer efforts with Maranatha Bible Church, Young Miss softball, men’s fast pitch softball, Findlay youth baseball, bowling team sponsor, special Olympics sports official and coordinator for other ASA umpire volunteers, mission trip, endless hours helping organize officials for basketball games, helped build Emory Adams fields and for those who can remember: the blizzard in the late 1970’s.
