The regular meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education was held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the MS/HS Complex on Tiger Drive.
After a quick review of the financial statements and Administrator’s reports which can be read elsewhere in this publication, the Board moved to regular agenda items.
Superintendent’s Recommendations:
Approved a maternity leave of absence for Ashley Martorana, Elementary Teacher, beginning Approximately April 6, 2915 for six weeks using accumulated sick leave, personal leave and unpaid leave as necessary.
Approved to continue a medical leave of absence for Jeanne Titus through January 4, 2015 using her accumulated sick leave as necessary.
Approved a medical leave of absence for Vicki Grilliot, bus driver/cafeteria worker that began October 29, 2014 through December 18, 2014 using her accumulated sick leave, personal leave and unpaid leave as necessary. She may be applying for FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) starting January 5, 2015.
Approved the non-renewal of the following fall 2014-15 supplemental contracts as per past practice.

Approved a resolution submitting to the electors of North Baltimore Local School District the question of the renewal of an existing 1.00% School District Income Tax for current expenses to be on the May 5, 2015 ballot.

The next meeting of the North Baltimore Local Board of Education will be the annual organizational meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 5:30pm followed by the regular meeting at 6:00pm.
