BOWLING GREEN (Tuesday, May 17, 2016) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces the following update to the Interstate 75/280 rerouting project in Lucas County.
Updates are highlighted in bold and underlined:
Interstate 75: Rerouting
Lucas County (536-14): Effective Tuesday, May 24 at 9am, through December, northbound I-75 traffic will be rerouted to southbound I-280 for bridge replacement. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained. Reroute: southbound I-280; Central Avenue; northbound I-280.
Effective Saturday, May 21 through Tuesday, May 24, motorists can expect various lane and ramp restrictions at the I-75/280 interchange and Manhattan Avenue/I-280 interchange for pavement work and striping.
Effective Saturday, May 21, from 7am until 9am, the ramp from Manhattan Boulevard to southbound I-280, will be closed for barrier wall installation. Detour: Stickney Avenue; North Expressway Drive; Lagrange Street; South Expressway Drive; northbound I-75; southbound I-280.
Effective Sunday, May 22, 7am until 7pm, the ramp from southbound I-75 to southbound I-280 will be closed for pavement work. Detour: Lagrange Street (Exit 207); South Expressway Drive; northbound I-75; southbound I-280.
Effective Sunday, May 22, short-term intermittent closures of the ramp from Manhattan Boulevard to southbound I-280, are possible for striping. Detour: Stickney Avenue; North Expressway Drive; Lagrange Street; South Expressway Drive; northbound I-75; southbound I-280.
Effective Monday, May 23, from 7am until 3pm, the ramp from Greenbelt Parkway to northbound I-280 will be closed for striping. Suggested alternate route: Lagrange Street; Manhattan Boulevard. Following this closure, through 7pm, the ramp from northbound I-280 to Manhattan Boulevard will be closed for striping. Detour: southbound I 75; Lagrange Street (Exit 207); South Expressway Drive; Stickney Avenue; Manhattan Avenue.
Effective Tuesday, May 24 at 9am through Wednesday, May 25 at 6am, northbound I-75, between Lagrange Street and I-280, will be reduced to one lane for traffic switch.
Effective Tuesday, May 24 at 9am through December, northbound I-75 traffic will be rerouted to southbound I-280 for bridge replacement. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained. Reroute: southbound I-280; Central Avenue; northbound I-280.
Effective Tuesday, May 24 at 9am until 2pm, the ramp from Manhattan Boulevard to northbound I-75 will be closed for traffic switch. Detour: Manhattan Boulevard; Stickney Avenue; North Expressway Drive; Lagrange Street; S. Expressway Drive.
Through June, single lane restrictions are possible on I-280, between Manhattan Boulevard and Central Avenue, for ramp construction. Through December, Central Avenue, between Buckeye Street and Galena Street, is closed. Detour: Lagrange Street; Greenbelt Parkway; Galena Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained. All work is weather permitting.
