The Wood County Park District works hard to provide quality park experiences, facilities and programs. In an effort of ongoing maintenance, the Slippery Elm Trail will have sealant applied on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018. This 13-mile Rails to Trails is utilized for outdoor recreation by many people in the county. The partial closures on Tuesday will be along the trail between the crossroads of Bays Road and Portage Road. The grass shoulders along the trail will be open for public use.
The Slippery Elm Trail is expected to be fully open on Wednesday, September 19, 2018.
The Wood County Park District and Strawser Construction are working hard to provide trail access through this trail update.
