Oakdale United Methodist Church located at 24994 Hancock-Wood County Line Road, Deshler, will be hosting a Men’s Dinner Gathering on Saturday April 9 at 6:00 pm. An all-you-can-eat baked steak dinner will be served, followed by a program featuring Dr. Dwight Allen as speaker.
Dr. Allen has been a youth pastor, a senior pastor for over 25 years, a scout for the Chicago Cubs for over six years, and now enjoys interviewing some of the country’s greatest sports leaders who share their faith in Jesus Christ on his radio program A Second Look at Sports. This program is now carried on over 500 stations around the world.
Dwight has himself coached sports at the high school and college levels and has won both Silver Microphone Awards and Golden Microphone Awards for broadcast excellence.
On Saturday mornings, Dwight can be heard hosting the program Racing World, carried locally on WFIN-Findlay. Dr. Allen will be speaking on “The Secret to Being on God’s Team.”
