The following is a weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 which includes the counties of Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Wyandot. This report is issued each week beginning in April and continues through November.

Allen County
Interstate 75 Reconstruction project For the most recent information concerning the Interstate 75 reconstruction project through Lima and Allen County please visitwww.odotlima75.org.
Ohio 81 between Sugar Street and Neubrecht Road is no longer restricted following completion of a pavement repair, curb and resurfacing project.
Defiance County
There are no projects scheduled during the week which will have a significant impact on traffic.
Hancock County
Interstate 75 traffic both northbound southbound between Sandusky Street and the U.S. 68/Ohio 15 interchange will be slowed and potentially stopped for brief periods on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19 while power transmission lines are installed over the lanes of traffic. The operation is expected to begin at 9 p.m. on that Friday and be completed by 7 a.m. the following day. Message boards will communicate the work to travelers. Law enforcement officers will aid in traffic control. Work is being performed by AEP.
Ohio 103 between Arlington and Jenera will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the Hancock County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 235 between Township Road 28 and Township Road 29 is no longer restricted following bridge repair.
U.S. 224 from Trenton Avenue in Findlay to County Road 212 east of Findlay including Main Street will be restricted through the fall for a resurfacing project. Work is currently occurring on the east end of the project moving west. Occasional lane closures should be expected during both daytime and nighttime hours. Asphalt work is occurring during nighttime hours during the week, generally between 5 p.m. and 3 a.m. During daytime hours work on pavement striping will occur generally between 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work on Main Street from Center Street to Trenton Avenue is expected to begin within the next two weeks. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.
Interstate 75 northbound and southbound south of Findlay, from three miles south of the rest areas to the Interstate 75/Ohio 15 interchange is restricted to one lane in each direction for a joint repair and resurfacing project. The northbound and southbound driving lanes are currently closed while traffic is traveling in the passing lanes. Work at the rest area ramps will occur in the coming weeks and may result in short-term access restrictions to the rest areas. Work will continue through late fall. Work is being performed by Shelly Company, Findlay.
Ohio 15 from the Findlay airport to Ohio 37 eastbound and westbound is complete with some minor finish work remaining.
Interstate 75 in Wood and Hancock counties: Through 2016, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through November, from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75 between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Through 2016, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
Special events . . .
- Effective Monday, April 27, through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between CR 220 and TR 142, will be closed for bridge work on I-75.
Hardin County
Ohio 701 between Ohio 309 and U.S. 68 will be restricted one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the Hardin County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 309 just west of Kenton between the Kenton corporation limit to County Road 145 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair at the railroad bridge. Work is being performed by the Hardin County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 31 south of Ohio 292 between County Road 190 and County Road 200 closed September 14 for approximately 30 days for a culvert replacement. Traffic is detoured onto Ohio 292 and Ohio 47 back to Ohio 31. Work is being performed by Vernon Nagel, Inc., Napoleon.
Ohio 309 between Township Road 245 and County Road 18 at the Marion County line closed September 17 for approximately one day for a culvert replacement. Traffic is detoured onto Ohio 67 and Ohio 37 back to Ohio 309. Work is being performed by the Hardin County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 81 between County Road 159 east of Dunkirk and Township Road 165 closed August 31 for approximately 30 days for two culvert replacements. Traffic is detoured onto U.S. 68, U.S. 30, Ohio 37 and Ohio 53 back to Ohio 81. Work is being performed by Sand Ridge Excavating, Cloverdale.
Paulding County
Ohio 500 from Ohio 49 in Payne to the Indiana state line will be closed beginning September 28 for approximately one month for reconstruction of the roadway. Access to residents and businesses as well as for school buses, emergency services and farming activities will be maintained. All other traffic will be detoured onto County Road 1, Ohio 613 and Ohio 49 back to Ohio 500. Work is being performed by Gerken Paving, Napoleon.
U.S. 127 from the south corporation limit of Paulding to the Van Wert County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for berm work. Work is being performed by the Paulding County ODOT maintenance garage.
Sealing of pavement cracks will restrict traffic to one lane through the work zone during the week at the following locations. Work is being performed by the Paulding County ODOT maintenance garage:
-Ohio 111 east of U.S. 127
-Ohio 637 east of U.S. 127
-Ohio 114 east of U.S. 127
U.S. 127 between Garfield Avenue and Jackson Street in the village of Paulding closed April 13 for approximately eight months for a sewer separation project. Traffic is detoured onto Ohio 111, Ohio 637 and Ohio 114 back onto U.S. 127. Work is being performed by VTF Excavation, Celina.
Putnam County
U.S. 224 between Kalida and Ottawa will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for placement of berm stone. Work is being performed by the Putnam County ODOT maintenance garage.
U.S. 224 in Glandorf closed August 31 for approximately three days for a culvert replacement. Traffic is detoured onto Ohio 694, Ohio 115 and Ohio 15 back to U.S. 224. Work is being performed by the Putnam County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 189 at the east edge of Ottoville closed May 27 for an unplanned culvert repair. The road is closed for an indefinite amount of time. Traffic is being detoured onto Ohio 190, Ohio 634 and U.S. 224 back to Ohio 189.
Van Wert County
There are no projects scheduled during the week which will have a significant impact on traffic.
Wyandot County
Ohio 67 between Ohio 294 and County Highway 64 is now open following a culvert replacement.
U.S. 23/30 northbound and southbound at Upper Sandusky is currently reduced to one lane through the work zone for bridge and pavement repair and resurfacing. On U.S. 23 the zone extends from south of Ohio 182 to just south of County Road 47, and on U.S. 30 from the U.S. 23 split to Township Highway 103. The project will continue through October. Work is being performed by Kokosing Construction, Columbus.
