Lucas/Wood Counties
1. Interstate 75: Widening
Wood & Hancock Counties (170-14, 199-14, 237-14 & 3000-14):
Interstate Restrictions: Through November, overnight, from 7pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75, between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg and CR 99 in Hancock County. Through December, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through December, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg and CR 99 in Hancock County.
Ramp Restrictions:
· Through November, the ramp from southbound I-75 to SR 582 is closed for pavement widening. Detour: SR 64/SR 105 (Exit 181); northbound I-75.
· Through November, the ramp from SR 582 to southbound I-75 is closed for pavement widening. Detour: northbound I-75; US 20 (Exit 193); southbound I-75.
State Routes:
Through November, SR 582 over I-75, will be reduced to one lane for pavement and bridge work. Traffic will be maintained by traffic signal.
Local Routes:
Through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between CR 220 and TR 142, is closed for bridge work over I-75.
Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
2. Interstate 75: Widening *UPDATES*
Lucas County (485-14, 536-14): Through September 2018, overnight, 7pm through 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75, from I-475 in Toledo to I-280 for bridge work. Through October, one lane of I-75 traffic is maintained in the current northbound lane and one lane of traffic is relocated to southbound I-75 and separated by barrier wall.
Effective Friday, October 21 at 9pm, through Monday, October 24 at 6am, northbound I-75, between I-475 (Exit 204) and Phillips Avenue (Exit 206), will be closed for traffic pattern change. Detour: SR 795 (Exit 195); northbound I-280.
Following the northbound I-75 closure, the following ramps will re-open:
· The ramp from northbound I-75 to Jeep Parkway (Exit 205).
· The ramp from northbound I-75 to Phillips Avenue (Exit 206).
Should weather impact work, the closure will be rescheduled for the following weekend.
Effective Friday, October 28 at 9pm, through Monday, October 31 at 6am, southbound I-75, between Phillips Avenue (Exit 206) and I-475 (Exit 204), will be closed for traffic pattern change. Detour: southbound I-280; SR 795 (Exit 2).
Effective tonight at 9pm, through December, the ramp from northbound I-280 to northbound I-75 will be reduced to two lanes for pavement construction.
The following ramps are closed:
- Effective tonight at 10pm, through Friday, October 14 at 6am, the ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-475 will be closed for bridge work. Detour: Stickney Avenue (Exit 207); southbound I-75; westbound I-475.
- Effective tonight at 9pm, through Friday, October 14 at 6am, the ramp from Manhattan Boulevard to northbound I-75 will be closed for striping and traffic pattern change. Detour: Lagrange Street; South Expressway Drive; northbound I-75.
- The closure of the ramps to/from southbound I-75 to/from Lagrange Avenue/North Expressway Drive (Exit 207) for pavement construction has been postponed. The date will be announced.
- The ramps to/from northbound I-75 to/from South Expressway Drive (Exit 207) for pavement repairs will be announced.
- Effective Friday, October 21 at 9pm, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Berdan Avenue (Exit 205B) will be closed permanently. Detour: Phillips Avenue (Exit 206); Detroit Avenue; Berdan Avenue.
- Effective Friday, October 28 at 9pm, through July 2018, the ramp from Phillips Avenue to southbound I-75 will close. Detour: northbound I-75; Stickney Avenue (Exit 207); North Expressway Drive; southbound I-75.
- Through Monday, October 24 at 6am, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Jeep Parkway (Exit 205A). Detour: Berdan Avenue (Exit 205B); Detroit Avenue.
- Through Monday, October 24 at 6am, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Phillips Avenue (Exit 206). Detour: south Expressway Drive (Exit 207); Stickney Avenue; North Expressway Drive.
- Through July 2018, the ramp from Jeep/Willys Parkway to southbound I-75. Detour: Berdan Avenue.
- Through July 2018, the ramp from Jeep/Willys Parkway to northbound I-75. Detour: Berdan Avenue; Detroit Avenue; Phillips Avenue.
- Through July 2018, the ramp from southbound I-75 to Jeep/Willys Parkway (Exit 205A). Detour: Detroit Avenue (Exit 203B).
Local Streets:
Through October, Jeep Parkway from Central Avenue to Berdan Avenue is closed. Detour: Central Avenue; Detroit Avenue; Berdan Avenue.
Through October, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Berdan Avenue is restricted to right turn only movements. Suggested alternate route: Berdan Avenue; Detroit Avenue; Phillips Avenue; Haverhill Drive.
Through October, South Expressway Drive is restricted to a single lane between Stickney Avenue and Lagrange Street.
Through November, Elm Street and Wersell Avenue at South Expressway Drive, is closed.
Through May 2017, the Polish Village Overpass is closed for bridge work. Detour: North Expressway Drive; Stickney Avenue; South Expressway Drive.
Through October 2017, expect lane restrictions on Phillips Avenue at I-75 for bridge work.
Through July 2018, lane restrictions are possible on Detroit Avenue at I-75 for bridge work.
Through July 2018, expect lane restrictions on Berdan Avenue at I-75 for bridge work.
Through July 2018, Willys Parkway from Pioneer Lane to Jeep Parkway is closed.
Project complete: September 2018. All work is weather permitting.
3. Interstate 75: Pavement Rehabilitation *UPDATE*
Lucas County (268-14): Effective Friday, October 14 at 9pm, until Saturday, October 15 at 6am, I-75, between Anthony Wayne Trail and I-475, may be reduced to one lane for striping.
Through October, I-75, from the I-75/475 split in Toledo to the Anthony Wayne Trail, is reduced to two lanes. Through October, overnight, 10pm through 6am, single lane restrictions are possible in this work zone. Through November, Oakwood Avenue, between Wells Street and Grove Place, is closed for bridge work. Seek alternate route.
Ramps restrictions and closures:
· Through October, the interchange ramp from eastbound I-475 to southbound I-75 is reduced to one lane.
· Through October, the interchange ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-475 is reduced to one lane.
· Through October, the ramp from Detroit Avenue to southbound I-75 is closed. Detour: Monroe Street; Michigan Avenue; SR 25.
· Through October, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Bancroft Street (Exit 203A) is closed. Detour: Detroit Avenue (Exit 203B); Monroe Street.
Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
4. Interstate 75/280: Rerouting
Lucas County (536-14): Through December, northbound I-75 traffic is rerouted to southbound I-280 for bridge replacement. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained. Reroute: southbound I-280; Central Avenue; northbound I-280. Through December, Central Avenue, between Buckeye Street and Galena Street, is closed. Detour: Lagrange Street; Greenbelt Parkway; Galena Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
5. Interstate 75: Rest Area Closure
Wood County (170-14): Through December, the northbound and southbound I-75 rest areas are closed for renovations. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
6. Interstate 280: Bridge Repair
Lucas County (1075-16): Through November, southbound I-280, between Greenbelt Parkway (Exit 11) and Starr Avenue (Exit 8), may be reduced to two lanes for bridge repair. Through November, the ramp from Greenbelt Parkway to southbound I-280 may be closed for bridge work. Detour: northbound I-280; Manhattan Boulevard (Exit 12). Project complete: January 2017. All work is weather permitting.
7. Interstate 475: ProMedica Parkway Ramp
Lucas County: Through October, the ramp from ProMedica Parkway to eastbound I-475 is closed for traffic control. Detour: westbound I-475; Douglas Road. All work is weather permitting.
8. Interstate 475: Resurfacing and Bridge Project
Lucas County (58-16): Through October, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-475 over Secor Road (Exit 17) for bridge work. Through October, overnight from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between the US 23 interchange and Douglas Road, for resurfacing. Additional restrictions may be announced. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
9. Interstate 475: Bridge Widening
Lucas County (235-14): Through October, overnight from 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Angola Road and Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive for pavement work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
10. Interstate Maintenance Work
Lucas and Wood Counties: Through Friday, October 14, nightly from 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Monclova Road and Dorr Street, for pavement repair. Through December, intermittent overnight lane restrictions are possible on I-75, I-280 and I-475 in Lucas and Wood counties for maintenance work. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
11. U.S. Route 20: Central Avenue Interchange Project
Lucas County (210-15): Through November, Central Avenue, between McCord Road and Van Fleet Parkway, is reduced to one lane. 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place within the work zone.
Through Wednesday, November 2, the following ramps are closed for ramp construction:
· The ramp from northbound I-475/US 23 to Central Avenue (Exit 13). Detour: Eastbound I-475; Secor Road (Exit 17); westbound I-475; southbound I-475; Central Avenue (Exit 13).
· The ramp from Central Avenue to southbound I-475/US 23. Detour: Northbound I-475/US 23; eastbound I-475; Secor Road (Exit 17); westbound I-475; southbound I-475.
Following this work, the Single Point Urban Interchange will be in effect.
Traffic is on the following new ramps. These ramps will remain open to traffic:
· The ramp from Central Avenue to northbound I-475/US 23.
· The ramp from southbound I-475/US 23 to Central Avenue.
Through December, southbound US 23 traffic is reduced to one lane from the I-475/US 23 split in Sylvania to Central Avenue. Through September 2017, overnight from 9pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475/US 23 between Dorr Street and N. Holland Sylvania Road. 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place within the work zone. Project complete: September 2017. All work is weather permitting.
12. U.S. Route 20: Resurfacing and Turn Lanes
Lucas County (366-16): Through November, lane restrictions are possible on Central Avenue/US 20, between Lucas/Fulton County line and King Road, for resurfacing. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
13. U.S. Route 20: Traffic Signal Upgrades
Lucas County (301-16): Through October, daytime intermittent lane restrictions are possible at the intersection of Central Avenue/US 20 and Meijer Drive for traffic signal upgrades. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
14. State Route 2: Resurfacing
Lucas County (246-16): Through October, lane restrictions are possible on Airport Highway/SR 2, between Garden Road and the Lucas/Fulton County line. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
15. State Route 2: Resurfacing and Bridge Project *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Lucas County (564-15): Lane restrictions on Airport Highway/SR 2, between Holloway Road and US 20A, are lifted. The resurfacing and bridge project is complete.
16. State Route 2: Intersection Upgrades
Lucas County (142-15): Through November, nightly from 7pm until 6am, overnight lane restrictions are possible on Airport Highway/SR 2 at Holland Sylvania Road, for intersection upgrades. Through November, nightly from 7pm until 6am, overnight lane restrictions are possible on SR 2/Airport Highway at Reynolds Road, for intersection upgrades. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project Complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
17. State Route 2: Culvert Replacement *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Lucas County (44-15): The culvert replacement project on Navarre Avenue/SR 2, between Cresceus Road and Patchen Road, is complete.
18. State Route 2: Anthony Wayne Bridge Painting Project
Lucas County (220-16): Through October, Yondota Street, between Stratton Street and Greenwood Avenue, is closed for sand blasting and bridge painting. Detour: Nevada Street; Oak Street; Greenwood Avenue. Lane restrictions on the Anthony Wayne Bridge and local road closures will be announced. Project complete: November 2017. All work is weather permitting.
19. State Route 2: Resurfacing
Lucas County (8028-16): Through October, lane restrictions are possible on SR 2, between North Curtice Road and the Lucas/Ottawa county line. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Additional restrictions will be announced in Spring 2017. Project complete: June 2017. All work is weather permitting.
20. State Route 51: Bridge Repair
Lucas County (60-16): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Monroe Street/SR 51, between Parkview Avenue and Inwood Drive in Toledo, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
21. Bancroft Street: Bridge Repair
Lucas County (59-16): Through October, Bancroft Street, between Hollywood Avenue and Glenwood Avenue, is closed for bridge repair. Detour: Collingwood Boulevard; Monroe Street. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
22. Delaware Avenue: Bridge Rehabilitation *ROAD OPEN*
Lucas County (25-16): Delaware Avenue, between Ayers Avenue and Kress Street in Toledo, is now open. Finish work will be completed from the sidewalk. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
23. McCord Road: Underpass Construction
Lucas County (236-14): Through October, McCord Road between North Mall Drive/Hall Road and Spectrum Drive is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour: Holland Park Boulevard; North Mall Drive. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
24. Rushland Avenue: Bridge Redecking
Lucas County (289-16): Through November, nightly from 7pm through 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, at Rushland Avenue for bridge work. Through November, Rushland Avenue between Groveland Road and Langenderfer Drive is closed for bridge deck replacement. Detour: Langenderfer Drive; Bowen Road; Groveland Road. Project complete: June 2018. All work is weather permitting.
25. Woodley Road: Bridge Repair Project *LOCAL CLOSURE BEGINS FRIDAY*
Lucas County (24-16): Effective Friday, October 14, through mid-November, Woodley Road, between Ellenridge Lane and Professional Drive, will be closed for corrective and finish work. Detour: Central Avenue; Talmadge Road; Sylvania Avenue. Through November, shoulder restrictions are possible on I-475 at Woodley Road for bridge work. Through November, overnight, from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Talmadge Road and Secor Road, for bridge repair. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
26. U.S. Route 6: Pavement Reconstruction and Bridge Work
Wood County (170-14): Through October, US 6, between SR 25 and Dunbridge Road, is reduced to one lane in each direction. Lane widths are restricted to 11ft in this work zone. Work complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
27. U.S. Route 6: Resurfacing and Culvert Replacements
Wood County (373-16): Through October, lane restrictions are possible on US 6, between the Wood/Henry County line and SR 235, for paving. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
28. U.S. Route 20: Resurfacing *UPDATE*
Wood County (256-16): Effective Tuesday, October 25, lane restrictions are possible on US 20, between Lime City Road and SR 420, for weather sensor installation. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Restrictions and closures will be announced in 2017. Project complete: June 2017. All work is weather permitting.
29. State Route 25: Diverging Diamond Interchange
Wood County (8029-16): Through October 2017, overnight from 7pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between the I-75/475 interchange and Fort Meigs Road. Additionally, overnight from 9pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on SR 25, between Levis Commons Boulevard and Eckel Junction Road. Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
30. State Route 105: Resurfacing
Wood County (257-16): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 105, between Dunbridge Road and SR 199, for finish work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
31. State Route 199: Roundabout Construction
Wood County (4004-16): The roundabout at SR 199 and Roachton Road is open. Additional restrictions may be announced for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
32. State Route 795: Bridge Rehabilitation Project *UPDATE*
Wood County (300-16): Both lanes of westbound SR 795, between Cummings Road and Luckey Road, are now open. Additional restrictions will be announced in spring 2017. Project complete: July 2017. All work is weather permitting.
33. Cherry Street: Bridge Replacement
Wood County (3053-15): Through October, Cherry Street, between Lennex Lane and Main Street in Millbury, will be closed for bridge replacement. Detour: Bradner Road; SR 795; Main Street. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
34. Dunbridge Road: Bridge Replacement
Wood County (3053-15): Through November, Dunbridge Road, between Nelson Road and Simonds Road, is closed for bridge replacement. Detour: Poe Road; Carter Road; Sugar Ridge Road. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
35. Kramer Road: Material Testing *LOCAL CLOSURE BEGINS THURSDAY*
Wood County: Effective Thursday, October 20, through Sunday, October 23, Kramer Road over I-75 will be closed for material testing. Detour: SR 25; US 6; County Home Road. All work is weather permitting.
36. Lemoyne Road: Bridge Replacement *LOCAL CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Wood County (3053-15): Effective Monday, October 17, through November, Lemoyne Road, between Gilbert Road and Garling Road, will be closed for bridge replacement. Detour: SR 582; Pemberville Road; US 20; Lemoyne Access Road. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
37. Liberty Hi Road: Bridge Replacement *ROAD OPEN*
Wood County (3004-16): Liberty Hi Road, between SR 281 and Bays Road, is now open. Lane restrictions are possible for finish work. Liberty Hi Road, between Mermill Road and Greensburg Pike, is now open. Lane restrictions are possible for finish work. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
38. Lime City Road: Bridge Replacement
Wood County (3053-15): Through November, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Lime City Road between Marilyn Drive and Grassy Lane for finish work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project Complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
Ottawa/Sandusky/Seneca Counties
39. State Route 2: Lightner Road Bridge Widening
Ottawa County (232-15): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 2, between SR 53/SE Catawba Road and SR 269, and on Lightner Road, between Kirk Road and East State Road, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
40. State Route 2: Pavement Repair *WORK COMPLETE*
Ottawa County: The pavement repair work on the ramps from SR 2 to northbound SR 53 is complete.
41. State Route 51: Pavement Repair
Ottawa and Wood Counties (194-16): Through October, lane restrictions are possible on SR 51, between SR 163 and SR 579, for pavement repair. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
42. State Route 163: Bridge Rehabilitation Project
Ottawa County (304-15): Through Friday, November 4, the SR 163 lift bridge in Port Clinton is reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge work. Effective Saturday, November 5, through May 2017, the SR 163 lift bridge in Port Clinton will be closed to traffic and pedestrians. Detour: SR 2. Effective Thursday, December 1, through March 2017, navigation on the Portage River under the SR 163 lift bridge in Port Clinton, will be temporarily restricted. Project complete: June 2017. 43. State Route 19: Railroad Repair *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Sandusky County: Effective Monday, October 17, through Friday, October 21, SR 19, between CR 109 and CR 119, will be closed for railroad repair. Detour: SR 53; SR 523. All work is weather permitting.
44. State Route 53: Traffic Signal Upgrades
Sandusky County (301-16): Through October, shoulder restrictions are possible on SR 53, between US 20 and Sean Street, for traffic signal upgrades. Additional restrictions may be announced. Project Complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
45. U.S. Route 224: Culvert Replacement
Seneca County: Through Friday, October 14, US 224, between Schaffer Park and TR 18, is closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 587; SR 53. All work is weather permitting.
46. State Route 18: Bridge Replacement
Seneca County (406-16): Through November, SR 18, between CR 32 and TR 178 over Royer Ditch, is closed for bridge replacement. Detour: SR 162; SR 4; SR 269; US 20. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
47. State Route 162: Resurfacing
Seneca County (257-16): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 162, between SR 19 and TR 197, for finish work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
Williams/Fulton/Henry Counties
48. State Route 2: Culvert Replacement
Williams County (506-15): Through October, lane restrictions are possible on SR 2, between CR 19 and CR 20, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
49. State Route 15: Pavement Repair
Williams County (489-15): Through October, lane restrictions are possible on SR 15, between US 127 and CR O, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
50. State Route 576: Culvert Replacement
Williams County (506-15): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 576, between CR M and CR N30, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
51. County Road 25: Bridge Replacement
Williams County (3009-16): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on CR 25, between SR 34 and CR D, for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
52. U.S. Route 20A: Resurfacing and Signal Upgrades
Fulton County (8016-16): Through October, lane restrictions are possible on Airport Highway/US 20A, between the Lucas/Fulton County line and CR 3, for resurfacing and signal upgrades. Project complete: January 2017. All work is weather permitting.
53. State Route 64: Bridge Repair
Fulton County (8016-16): Through October, SR 64/Main Street, between South Street and Bassett Avenue in Swanton, is closed for bridge repair. Detour: US 20A; Hallett Avenue; Church Street. Local access will be maintained. Project complete: January 2017. All work is weather permitting.
54. U.S. Route 24: Culvert Repair *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Henry County (1072-16): The culvert repair project at the intersection of US 24 and CR 17D is complete.
55. State Route 109: Damascus Bridge: Bridge Replacement
Henry County (1-15): Through May 2017, stop signs will be at the intersection of CR 424 at SR 109 for traffic control. Through October 2017, motorists should watch for additional truck traffic near SR 109 at the Damascus bridge for bridge work. Work impacting traffic will be announced. Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
56. Keyser Street: Bridge Replacement *ROAD OPEN*
Henry County (3004-16): Keyser Street, between Marion Street and South Street in Deshler, is now open. Lane restrictions are possible for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
57. County Road 1: Bridge Replacement *ROAD OPEN*
Henry County (3004-16): Henry County Road 1, between CR D/Oil Center Road and CR E/Hammansburg Road, is now open. Lane restrictions are possible for finish work. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
District Wide
58. Various Routes: Guardrail, Striping & Electrical Maintenance
District Wide (1053-15 & 1059-15 & 1044-15): Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail, striping and electrical maintenance. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
59. Various Routes: Mowing
District Wide (1028-16): Through October, intermittent lane and shoulder restrictions are possible district wide for mowing. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
60. Various Routes: Raised Pavement Markers
District Wide (1055-15): Through October, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for raised pavement marker work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state’s largest man-made asset–the transportation system. ODOT’s mission is to provide the safe and easy movement of people and goods from place to place. As a $2.8 billion per year enterprise, ODOT invests the bulk of its resources in system preservation through maintenance, construction and snow and ice operations.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
