The following is a weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 which includes the counties of Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Wyandot. This report is issued each week beginning in April and continues through November.

Allen County
Interstate 75 Reconstruction project For the most recent information concerning the Interstate 75 reconstruction project through Lima and Allen County please visitwww.odotlima75.org.
Interstate 75 and Ohio 696, Beaverdam – The southbound entrance and northbound exit ramps at Interstate 75 and Ohio 696 are now open following pavement repair on the ramps.
Defiance County
Ohio 49 north of Hicksville north of Huber Road will be closed May 19 for approximately three days for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto Ohio 2 and Ohio 249 back to Ohio 49. Work will be done by Defiance County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 49 north of Ohio 249 will remain closed through mid week for a culvert replacement. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 249, Ohio 2, Ohio 576 and U.S. 6 back to Ohio 49. Work is being performed by the Defiance County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 2/18/49 in the village of Hicksville will be restricted for pavement repair followed by resurfacing. Installation of curb ramps in the village has been completed. Work will take place on Ohio 2 from its junction with Ohio 49 at the south edge of town to the south just outside of the village limits. On Ohio 49 work will occur from inside the village to the Williams County line, and on Ohio 18 from within the village to just outside the village limits. Work is being performed by Brooks Construction, Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Ohio 49 in the village Payne and Ohio 613 west of the village of Payne to the Indiana state line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair followed by resurfacing. Work will begin within the village limits on Friday, May 15. The project will continue until late June. Work is being performed by Gerken Paving, Bluffton.
Hancock County
Ohio 15 northbound east of the U.S. 68 junction is one lane through the work zone for a roadside slide repair project which is expected to continue through July. Work is being performed by Sand Ridge Excavating, Cloverdale.
Interstate 75 in Wood and Hancock counties: Through 2016, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through November, from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75 between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Through 2016, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
Special events . . .
- Effective Monday, April 27, through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between CR 220 and TR 142, will be closed for bridge work on I-75.
Hardin County
Ohio 273 in the village of Mount Victory which was closed May 4 for approximately five days for a waterline has reopened.
Ohio 67 westbound from County Road 75 to Township Road 85 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during the week for a drainage project. Work is being performed by the Hardin County ODOT maintenance garage.
U.S. 68 between Washington Street and Wayne Street in the village of Dunkirk which was closed for continuation of a railroad crossing repair has reopened.
Paulding County
U.S. 127 between Garfield Avenue and Jackson Street in the village of Paulding closed April 13 for approximately eight months for a sewer separation project. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 613, Ohio 637 and Ohio 111 back to U.S. 127. Work is being performed by VTF Excavation, Celina.
Ohio 637 in Grover Hill south of Ohio 114 will be restricted to one lane for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the Paulding County ODOT maintenance garage.
Putnam County
Ohio 190 between Ohio 634 and U.S. 224 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during the week for pavement repairs. Work is being performed by the Putnam County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 115 near County Road L will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during the week for drainage repairs. Work is being performed by the Putnam County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 115 between Ohio 695 and Ohio 15 will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for work along the road berm. Work is being performed by the Putnam County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 114 northwest of the village of Kalida just west of County Road 19 has reopened following a culvert replacement.
Ohio 694 east of Ohio 115 will be closed beginning June 1 for five days for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto Ohio 115 and US 224 back to Ohio 694. Work is being done by Putnam County ODOT maintenance garage.
Van Wert County
Ohio 697 west of Point Wetzel Road will be closed for approximately 45 days beginning June 8 to replace the bridge over the Auglaize River. Traffic will be directed onto Ohio 116 to Ohio 81 to Ohio 66 back onto Ohio 697. Work is being done by Brumbaugh Construction, Inc., Arcanum.
Wyandot County
Ohio 294 from just west of U.S. 23 to just west of Ohio 231 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair. Work is being performed by the Wyandot County ODOT maintenance garage.
Ohio 231 from just north of Township Highway 56 to Ohio 103 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair. Work is being performed by the Wyandot County ODOT maintenance garage.
U.S. 23/30 northbound and southbound at Upper Sandusky is currently reduced to one lane through the work zone for bridge and pavement repair and resurfacing. On U.S. 23 the zone extends from south of Ohio 182 to just south of County Road 47, and on U.S. 30 from the U.S. 23 split to Township Highway 103. Work is being performed by Kokosing Construction, Columbus.
U.S. 23 northbound entrance ramp from eastbound U.S. 30 closed May 4 for approximately three weeks for pavement resurfacing and bridge deck repair. Traffic detoured east on U.S. 30, north on Ohio 199 back to U.S. 23 northbound. Work is being performed by Kokosing Construction, Columbus.
