ODOT District Two Weekly Construction Update – April 7
Lucas/Wood Counties
1. Interstate 75: Widening
Wood & Hancock Counties (170-14, 199-14, 237-14 & 3000-14):
Interstate Restrictions:
Through November, overnight, from 7pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75 between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg and CR 99 in Hancock County. Through December, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through December, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg and CR 99 in Hancock County.
Ramp Restrictions:
· Through October, southbound I-75 to westbound I-475 is reduced to one 11-foot lane for pavement installation.
· Through July, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on the ramps from northbound and southbound I-75 to Cygnet Road (Exit 171) and from Cygnet Road to northbound and southbound I-75.
Local Routes:
Through April, Bays Road at I-75 is closed for bridge work. Detour: SR 25; SR 281; Solether Road.
Through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between CR 220 and TR 142, is closed for bridge work over I-75.
Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
2. Interstate 75: Widening *UPDATE*
Lucas County (485-14, 536-14): Through September 2018, overnight, 7pm through 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75, from I-475 in Toledo to I-280 for bridge work. Through September, one lane of I-75 traffic is maintained in the current northbound lane and one lane of traffic is relocated to southbound I-75 and separated by barrier wall.
The following ramps are closed:
· Through June, the ramp from Phillips Avenue to northbound I-75. Detour: Manhattan Boulevard; Lagrange Street; South Expressway Drive.
· Through July, the ramp from southbound I-75 to Phillips Avenue (Exit 206). Detour: North Expressway Drive (Exit 207); Stickney Avenue; South Expressway Drive.
· Through September, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Jeep Parkway (Exit 205A). Detour: Berdan Avenue (Exit 205B); Detroit Avenue.
· Through September, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Phillips Avenue (Exit 206). Detour: south Expressway Drive (Exit 207); Stickney Avenue; North Expressway Drive.
· Through July 2018, the ramp from Jeep Parkway to southbound I-75. Detour: Berdan Avenue.
· Through July 2018, the ramp from Willys Parkway to northbound I-75. Detour: Berdan Avenue; Detroit Avenue; Phillips Avenue.
· Through July 2018, the ramp from southbound I-75 to Willys Parkway (Exit 205A). Detour: Detroit Avenue (Exit 203B).
Local Streets:
Effective Monday, April 11, from 3am until 6am, northbound Stickney Avenue at I-75 will be reduced to one lane for bridge work.
Through May, expect lane restrictions on Berdan Avenue at I-75 and Detroit Avenue at I-75 for bridge work.
Through June, South Expressway Drive is restricted to a single lane between Stickney Avenue and Lagrange Street.
Through July, expect lane restrictions on Phillips Avenue at I-75 for bridge work.
Through September, Jeep Parkway from Central Avenue to Berdan Avenue is closed. Central Avenue; Detroit Avenue; Berdan Avenue.
Through September, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Berdan Avenue is restricted to right turn only movements. Suggested alternate route: Berdan Avenue; Detroit Avenue; Phillips Avenue; Haverhill Drive.
Through November, Elm Street and Wersell Avenue at South Expressway Drive, is closed.
Through May 2017, the Polish Village Overpass is closed for bridge work. Detour: North Expressway Drive; Stickney Avenue; South Expressway Drive.
Through July 2018, Willys Parkway from Pioneer Lane to Jeep Parkway is closed.
Project complete: September 2018. All work is weather permitting.
3. Interstate 75: Pavement Rehabilitation
Lucas County (268-14): Through August, I-75, from the I-75/475 split in Toledo to the Anthony Wayne Trail, is reduced to two lanes. Overnight, 10pm through 6am, single lane restrictions are possible in this work zone.
Through May, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Detroit Avenue (Exit 203B) is closed. Detour: Berdan Avenue (Exit 205B); Detroit Avenue. The closure of the ramp from southbound I-75 to Detroit Avenue will be announced.
Through August, the following ramps are restricted or closed:
· The interchange ramp from eastbound I-475 to southbound I-75 is reduced to one lane.
· The interchange ramp from northbound I-75 to westbound I-475 is reduced to one lane.
· The ramp from Detroit Avenue to southbound I-75 is closed. Detour: Monroe Street; Michigan Avenue; SR 25.
· The ramp from Detroit Avenue to northbound I-75 is closed. Detour: Monroe Street; 14th Street.
Through May, Oakwood Avenue, between Wells Street and Grove Place, is closed for bridge work. Seek alternate route. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
4. Interstate 75: Rest Area Closure
Wood County (170-14): Through July, the northbound and southbound I-75 rest areas are closed as part of the I-75 widening project. Project complete: July. All work is weather permitting.
5. Interstate 280: Drainage Project
Lucas County (58-16): Effective Tuesday, April 12, through May, I-280, between Navarre Avenue and Wales Road, will be reduced to one lane in each direction, for drainage improvements. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.
6. Interstate 475: ProMedica Parkway Ramp
Lucas County: Through December, the ramp from ProMedica Parkway to eastbound I-475 is closed for traffic control. Detour: westbound I-475; Douglas Road. All work is weather permitting.
7. Interstate 475: Resurfacing and Bridge Project
Lucas County (58-16): Through September, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-475 over Secor Road (Exit 17) for bridge work. Through September, overnight from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between the US 23 interchange and Douglas Road, for resurfacing. Additional restrictions may be announced. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
8. Interstate 475/U.S. Route 23: Interchange Upgrade
Lucas County (184-14 & 210-15): Through May, southbound US 23 traffic is reduced to one lane from the I-475/US 23 split in Sylvania to Central Avenue. Overnight lane restrictions are possible at the interchange of I-475/US 23 from Central Avenue to N. Holland Sylvania Road. Through April, daily from 7am until 5:30pm, intermittent road closures may be possible on Blossman Road, between McCord Road and Holland Sylvania Road, for pavement repair. Detour: McCord Road; Central Avenue; Fairbanks Avenue. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.
9. Interstate 475: Bridge Widening
Lucas County (251-13 & 235-14): Through July, overnight from 8pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Angola Road and Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive for pavement work. Through August, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-475, between Angola Road and Salisbury Road/Dussel Drive. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
10. Interstate Maintenance Work
Lucas and Wood Counties: Through December, intermittent overnight lane restrictions are possible on I-75, I-280 and I-475 in Lucas and Wood counties for maintenance work. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
11. U.S. Route 20: Central Avenue Interchange Project
Lucas County (210-15): Through September 2017, overnight from 9pm until 6am, lane restrictions are possible on I-475/US 23 between Dorr Street and the I-475/US 23 interchange. 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place within the work zone. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project complete: September 2017. All work is weather permitting.
12. State Route 2: Resurfacing and Bridge Project
Lucas County (564-15): Through August, lane restrictions are possible on Airport Highway (SR 2), between Holloway Road and Albon Road, for resurfacing. Additional restrictions and closures will be announced. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.
13. State Route 2: Intersection Upgrades
Lucas County (142-15): Effective Sunday, April 17, through November, nightly from 7pm until 6am, overnight lane restrictions are possible on SR 2/Airport Highway at Holland Sylvania Road, for intersection upgrades. Effective Sunday, April 24, through November, nightly from 7pm until 6am, overnight lane restrictions are possible on SR 2/Airport Highway at Reynolds Road, for intersection upgrades. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project Complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
14. State Route 25: Safety Project
Lucas County (299-15): Through September, southbound (outbound from downtown Toledo) Anthony Wayne Trail, between Hippo Way and City Park Boulevard, is reduced two lanes for pavement rehabilitation. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
15. State Route 51: Bridge Repair *UPDATE*
Lucas County (60-16): Effective Monday, April 18, through August, Monroe Street/SR 51, between Parkview Avenue and Inwood Drive in Toledo, will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge repair. Effective Monday, April 18, through June, access to/from Monroe Street to/from Rosedale Avenue, Parkview Avenue, South Cove Boulevard and North Cove Boulevard will be maintained through right turn movements only. Additionally at this time, North Cove Boulevard and South Cove Boulevard, south of Monroe Street, will be closed. Suggested alternate route: Upton Avenue. Additional restrictions or closures may be announced. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.
16. McCord Road: Underpass Construction
Lucas County (236-14): Through September, McCord Road between North Mall Drive/Hall Road and Spectrum Drive is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Detour: Holland Park Boulevard; North Mall Drive. Project complete: November. All work is weather permitting.
17. Woodley Road: Bridge Repair Project
Lucas County (24-16): Through July, Woodley Road, between Ellenridge Lane and Professional Drive, is closed for bridge repair. Detour: Central Avenue; Talmadge Road; Sylvania Avenue. Through July, overnight, from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-475, between Talmadge Road and Secor Road, for bridge repair. Project complete: October. All work is weather permitting.
18. U.S. Route 6: Pavement Reconstruction and Bridge Work
Wood County (170-14): Through June, the ramp from southbound I-75 to eastbound US 6 is closed. Detour: westbound US 6; SR 25. Through June, US 6, between SR 25 and Dunbridge Road, is reduced to one lane in each direction. Lane widths are restricted to 11ft in this work zone. Work complete: June. All work is weather permitting.
19. State Route 51: Culvert Replacements *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Wood County (618-15): Effective Monday, April 11, through May, SR 51, between Frey Road and Mathews Road, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 795; I-280. Additional closures will be announced. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.
20. State Route 64: Slide Repair
Wood County (155-15): Through April, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 64, between Reitz Road and SR 64/65 Waterville Bridge, for finish work. Project complete: April. All work is weather permitting.
21. State Route 235: Resurfacing *CLOSURE BEGINS MONDAY*
Wood County (441-15): Effective Monday, April 11, through June, SR 235, between SR 18 and US 6, will be closed for resurfacing. Detour: SR 18; SR 65; US 6. Local access will be maintained. Project Complete: July. All work is weather permitting.
Ottawa/Sandusky/Seneca Counties
22. State Route 2: Lightner Road Bridge Widening
Ottawa County (232-15): Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 2, between SR 53/SE Catawba Road and SR 269, for bridge work. Additionally, Lightner Road, between Kirk Road and East State Road, may be reduced to one lane for temporary pavement construction. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Additional restrictions will be announced.
Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.
23. State Route 2: Bridge Rehabilitation Project
Ottawa County (029-16): Through May, SR 2, between Rankie Road and West Carlton Road over Rusha Creek, will be reduced to one lane for bridge deck replacement. Traffic will be maintained by a traffic signal. Project complete: June. All work is weather permitting.
24. State Route 163: Bridge Rehabilitation Project *UPDATE*
Ottawa County (304-15): Effective Tuesday, April 12, through Thursday, April 14, daily from 7:30am to 4pm, single lane restrictions are possible on the SR 163 lift bridge in Port Clinton for bridge work.Through October, intermittent, short-term single lane restrictions are possible on the SR 163 lift bridge in Port Clinton for equipment/material drop off. Future restrictions and closures will be announced. Project complete: June 2017. All work is weather permitting.
25. State Route 795: Pavement Repair *NEW PROJECT*
Ottawa County (1078-15): Effective Monday, April 18, through August, SR 795, between SR 51 and Fostoria Road, may be reduced to one lane for pavement repair. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
26. State Route 19: Pavement Repair *NEW PROJECT*
Sandusky County (1078-15): Effective Monday, April 18, through August, SR 19, between US 20 and Academy Street, may be reduced to one lane for pavement repair. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
27. State Route 19: Pavement Repair *NEW PROJECT*
Seneca County (1078-15): Effective Monday, April 18, through August, SR 19, between SR 228 and SR 778, may be reduced to one lane for pavement repair. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
Williams/Fulton/Henry Counties
28. State Route 15: Pavement Repair
Williams County (0489-15): Through June, SR 15, between US 127 and CR O, may be reduced to one lane for pavement repair. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Additional restrictions and closures will be announced. Project complete: July. All work is weather permitting.
29. State Route 34: Pavement Repairs *NEW PROJECT*
Williams County (1075-15): Effective Monday, April 11, through April, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 34, between SR 576 and CR D, for pavement repairs. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
30. State Route 49: Pavement Repairs *NEW PROJECT*
Williams County (1075-15): Effective Monday, April 11, through April, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 49, between US 20 and the Michigan border, for pavement repairs. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
31. State Route 49: Railroad Repair
Williams County: Effective Monday, April 25, through April, SR 49, between CR F and CR 3, will be closed for railroad repair. Detour: SR 34; SR 576; US 6. Project complete: April. All work is weather permitting.
32. State Route 576: Culvert Replacement
Williams County (506-15): Through April, SR 576, between CR M and CR N30, will be closed for culvert replacement. Detour: US 20; US 20A; SR 15; SR 107. Project Complete: June. All work is weather permitting.
33. State Route 108: Pavement Repairs *NEW PROJECT*
Fulton County (1075-15): Effective Monday, April 11, through April, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 108, between US 20 and the Michigan border, for pavement repairs. Additional restrictions will be announced. Project complete: August. All work is weather permitting.
34. State Route 109: Damascus Bridge: Bridge Replacement
Henry County (1-15): Through October 2017, motorists should watch for additional truck traffic near SR 109 at the Damascus bridge for bridge work. Work impacting traffic will be announced. Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.
35. State Route 110: Slide Repair
Henry County (135-15): Through September, westbound SR 110, between CR P3 and Appian Avenue in Napoleon, is closed for slide repair. Detour: CR P3, CR 12; Appian Avenue. Eastbound SR 110 in this area will remain open and local access will be maintained. Project complete: September. All work is weather permitting.
District Wide
36. Various Routes: Guardrail & Electrical Maintenance
District Wide (1053-15 & 1059-15): Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible district wide for guardrail and electrical maintenance. Project complete: December. All work is weather permitting.
