ODOT seeking public comment on projects
LIMA (August 4, 2017) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 11988, is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects:
Delphos-1st/3rd/7th Street Bridges (PID: 103412) – This project proposes to replace the 1st/3rd/7th street bridges over Flat Fork Creek in the city of Delphos. Traffic on 1st/3rd/7th streets will be detoured during construction; however, access to properties within the construction limits will be maintained.
Work on all three structures will occur in a regulated floodplain. Impacts to this floodplain are anticipated to be minor and result in no rise in localized flood levels. A statement of findings detailing the results of the final floodplain analysis will be made available on the ODOT District 1 environmental website:
Construction for this project is scheduled to occur in the summer and fall of 2019.
U.S. Route 68-5.01 Arlington (PID: 103972) – The Ohio Department of Transportation, in partnership with the village of Arlington, has proposed a project to reconstruct Main Street (U.S. Route 68) in the village of Arlington. Reconstruction will include new pavement, curb, gutter, drainage and storm sewer improvements and will occur in three phases.
Phase one of the project will occur from the Liberty Street intersection northward to the bridge over Buck Run. Phase two of the project will occur from the Liberty Street intersection southward to the southern limits of the village of Arlington. Phase three of the project will occur from the bridge over Buck Run northward to Wardwell Street near the northern limits of the village of Arlington.
Work on this route will occur in the regulated floodplain of Buck Run and a small tributary stream of Buck Run. Impacts to these floodplains are anticipated to be minor and result in no rise in localized flood levels. Construction for phase one is scheduled to occur in the summer of 2018. The construction schedule for phase two and three of the project is currently being developed.
During construction through traffic will be detoured; however, access to all properties for local traffic within the construction limits will be maintained.
State Route 67-26.80 (PID: 102664) – This project proposes to replace the bridge deck and perform repair on the state Route 67 bridge over Sycamore Creek in the village of Sycamore (mile marker 26.80). During construction through traffic will be detoured; however, access to properties for local traffic within the construction limits will be maintained.
Construction is scheduled to occur in the summer of 2019.
