ODOT is proposing to repair the bridge carrying state Route 117 (also known as Shawnee Road) over the railroad at mile marker 13.85 on the west side of the city of Lima. The bridge is located approximately one quarter of a mile north of the Shawnee Road and Spencerville Road intersection. The bridge will be closed during construction and vehicular traffic will be detoured. Access to all nearby properties will be maintained throughout construction.

Construction for this project is scheduled to occur in the summer of 2020.

Defiance County

County Route 424 Shoulder Widening (PID: 104145)

The Defiance County Engineer, in partnership with ODOT, is proposing to widen the roadway shoulders along county Road 424 between the Clinton Street (state Route 15) bridge and the entrance of Independence Dam State Park. The widened shoulders will accommodate bicyclists and pedestrians in this area.

Work along county Road 424 will occur in the regulated floodplain of the Maumee River. Impacts to this floodplain are anticipated to be minor and result in no rise in localized flood levels. A statement of findings detailing the results of the final floodplain analysis will be made available on the ODOT District 1 environmental website:

The roadway is scheduled to remain open throughout construction; therefore, no detours will be necessary. Access to all properties within the construction limits will be maintained. Construction for this project is scheduled to occur in the summer of 2018.
