If you are like me and grew up in North Baltimore during the 1960’s or 70’s, you probably have some great stories about your memories of going into the building at 115 West State Street. B & N Carry Out occupied the building during my growing up years.
The current occupants of the building, are a necessary and welcome addition to this community for today’s world. The Ohio Treatment Center held an opening a few weeks ago and hosted the North Baltimore Chamber of Commerce for a Ribbon-Cutting ceremony last Friday, December 6th. They have already doubled the number of clients they are serving since the opening.
Chamber officials and Ohio Treatment Center Staff met for a tour and explanation of available services at the facility.

Justin Ochmanek, Director of Operations of the NB facility led the tour and explained the facility. The Ohio Treatment Center offers treatment for substance abuse and co-occuring mental health disorders. The facility was founded, in large part, by recovering addicts with an unwavering sense of responsibility to help others recover from addiction. Their goal is to inform families and those with substance abuse disorder alike about the nature of addiction and mobilize them to the path of recovery.
I found the facility to be peaceful and calming, with a strong sense of friendliness and caring from everyone on the staff, as soon as you walk in the door. They also are all very knowledgeable and have the resources to get you the help you need.
