For municipal entities and farmers that are interested in pursuing their Pesticide Applicator License, administered through the Ohio Department of Agriculture, a class will be held Thursday January 18, 2018.
The class will cover the standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Agriculture as it applies to Commercial and Private Pesticide Applicators. The Commercial Applicators license is geared toward Municipal entities that apply pesticides to control unwanted vegetation and insects in Cemeteries, Municipal Right of Ways, Ditch Banks, Sidewalks, and Parking Lots. Private Applicator’s license applies restricted use pesticides to Field Crops such as Corn, Soybeans, and Wheat on property that is generally owned by the applicator.
The cost of the class is thirty-five dollars with additional study materials available for an additional charge. Class starts at 8:30 am and adjourns at 12:30 pm. Thursday January 18th. Location is Ohio State University Extension Wood County, 639 S. Dunbridge Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
Pre-registration is required and class size is limited to the first twenty registrants.
