Retirement Time…..
We were able to catch Mrs. March Bean, bus aide, riding on the pre-school bus on the last day of school. She is seen here with student Nolan Baltz. Mrs. Bean is retiring after 41 years of service to the North Baltimore Local School District.
She has spent 26 years of her career as a bus driver, and 15 years as a pre-school bus aide.
“I don’t think I ever missed a day of work while I was a driver. I was able to save up some hours that I could use the last few years when I needed to , for medical appointments. My health isn’t what it used to be. It’s getting harder to get up and down (the bus steps). I’m glad I was allowed to keep working” she said.
Mrs. Bean doesn’t have any special plans for her retirement.
Congratulations, Mrs. Bean, and thank you for your service to NB Schools! We wish you well.

There are very few people who can say they’ve worked at the same place for 41 years! That’s an achievement. Enjoy your retirement, Mrs. Bean.
