Phyllis E. (Dukes) Herman of North Fort Myers passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday May 2, 2015 in Florida.
Phyllis was born in North Baltimore on March 3,1937 to John and Dorothy Dukes (preceded her in death). She had one brother Wayne whom preceded her in death. Her husband, Jim Herman, has also preceded her in death.
Phyllis is survived by her three children Julie (Bob) Pfefferle of Matthews, NC, Patrick (Mona) Gardner of Gahanna, OH and Steve (Renee) Gardner of Shelbyville, IN. She had six grandchildren: Adam (Lisa) Pfefferle of Durham, NC; Lauren Pfefferle and her fiancé Jarrod Stegall of Matthews, NC; Whitney (Roy) Hanna of Gahanna, OH; Jessica Epley and her fiancé Mitchell Marty of Madison, WI; Madison Gardner of Gahanna, OH; and Stephanie Gardner and her fiancé of Columbus, IN. She also is survived by five great-grandchildren: Gavin, Brooklyn, Roselyn, Odin and Franklin.
Phyllis retired as a Real Estate Broker in OH. She was a loving mother and “Grammy” who will be truly missed. She supported her family and friends through all of life trials and helped to show them what true faith means.
A private memorial service will be held this summer at the Marblehead lighthouse in Marblehead Ohio.

Phyllis was a special friend. We went thru school together. We belonged to a group known as the Big Seven. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
